Auxiliary power won't shut off and battery light stays on

I have a 2006 GMC Yukon XL Denali and the auxiliary power won't shut off and the battery light comes on after the car is turned off and key removed. Won't shut off when door is opened either. I have the door locks set to unlock doors when key is removed and that still works. When I start the car the battery light goes out and their are no error displayed on the DIC.

    Being a GM product, I would suspect the instrument panel control module. Just a guess. Truck needs testing by a trained technician to track this down. If his scan tool shows the PCM charging the alternator at the proper rate, and if all battery connections are clean and tight, then that's where I'd look next. Lots of GM cars and trucks have instrument panel control issues.
