I have an '03 s10 truck, rwd. My daytime running lamp aren't working although the high beams do. I'm 90%positive it's the body control module. The dealership says this GM part is no longer available, I'll need an after market part which is OK. Now they're saying to run a diagnostic test to be sure. Has anyone had DRL issues that turned out to be the body control module?

There might be more likely causes. I think on your truck the headlight fuse powers the DRL relay so that's something to check. Also you can swap out the horn relay for the DRL relay and see if that fixes it.

Also, the emergency brake will shut off the DRL, so make sure that's working properly.
