Front wheel periodically sounds like "air getting released from balloon noise."

I have seen many on this forum complain about the front wheel "air getting released from balloon noise." It is a perfect description for what I am currently experiencing, but have not found a solution. I was going to change the hub, but the wheel is solid when I checked pads and rotor, with no play with the wheel... Has anyone found what causes this periodic "air getting released from balloon noise?"

Are you sure this isn't coming from the brake booster?

I decided to replace the wheel hub and rotor and walah, that was the problem!
