What is the deal on a Porsche Cayenne, that you are talking about this month?

Why can't we get the dealer names on these wild deals?

Lease price sounds ok. What's the Out of pocket breakdown? Is sales tax in lease payment or down payment?

I have an offer in CT on Base of MSRP $40,910 -$2500 cap cost. MF=.00247, Resid=61%. All this equals $529 before tax in lease payment. I am hoping to do better.
I don't have OOP calculated but $2700 sounds higher than 1st, bank fee and tags. In which state do you reside?

Your monthly payments should be in the 480 - 485 range
  • acurafan1979acurafan1979 Member Posts: 2
I thought that the current residual is 59% or 60%, at least that's what I got from most of the dealerships in the NY area.

I'm about to lease an Acura MDX base with nothing down only first month (no dmv) 10k/month for 36 months for $565.
  • jgurajgura Member Posts: 16
I think the residual for 36mths if you only need 10K mileage is 62%. The numbers your mentioned are all based on 12K/yr.
  • eric9547eric9547 Member Posts: 2
My lease could of been about $20 less if I had not fallen for the extra protection (door dings and interior/ext protection) that i bought in the Finance office which cost me $700. The guy said when my lease is up they would give me an extra $500 on the value of the MDX, so I fell for it. This was my first lease and I think I did good but not great. If I had put some money down on my lease the payment would be in the mid $500's.

I am about to lease Acura MDX 2008 Tech in NYC here the offer from dealership

    36 months lease
    12k
$3000 out of pocket which includes Tax (NYC tax 8.625%)+DMV+Bank fee
    Monthly lease amount $565

The car was negotiated at invoice price which was $40,402. The dealer did not want to fully break the $3000 out pocket, which i want to find out what the DMV or the bank fee prices are, so that i can see what the extra he is charging me for.

    Is this a good deal????????

I closed a deal on a MDX Basic- 36 months, 12k annual miles in Westchester County on 11/17.I was not expecting to "deal" as 2 months remained on current Volvo XC-70 lease. However the dealership's management was determined that I not leave empty handed. So here is the deal: excluding CT tax, lease payment is $533 monthly. This includes rolling in last two payments on the Volvo, of approx. $1,000. Lease MF=.00247, resid.=25K. This equates to cap cost on vehicle of about $37.5k on MSRP of $40.9k. I negotiated body side moldings included. The down money as follows: first of $533 + CT sales tax on payment, bank fee of $595. $100 assorted stuff. Altogether $1263. CT DMV extra. LOTS OF INVENTORY IN STOCK AND SALES APPARENTLY SLOW OR SLOWING. THEY WANT TO DEAL CARS. I was an informed buyer as a result of using this service. Thanks to all for your buying /leasing experiences.

I just leased a 2008 MDX base for 36 months/10K miles. Including all taxes, tags, registration, etc. (I'm in NJ), I'm out of pocket $3,500. Payments are $460/month including tax.

Is this a good deal? What are others in the tri-state area getting?

    Thanks.

    Carman:

You've helped me secure terrific deals on my last two leases - thanks for the service you provide here! My RX330 lease is up and I'm looking for help in negotiating my next vehicle. Can you provide the November money factor and residual for the following lease?

2008 Acura MDX Base (No tech or sport)
    36 mo lease
    15,000 mi/yr

When I last looked at these boards in 2004, residuals were often different (usually lower) for vehicles with NAV. Is that still the general practice?

    Thanks,

    Ken

    wow!!!

all of you guys are getting great deals!!! it's great to see that dealerships are finally giving in a bit! i leased my 08 mdx tech back in the middle of september, but i'll post up my numbers for you to compare...i'm in southern california:

    $40,100 agreed upon price
$40,695 cap cost (this is the agreed price + $595 dest. fee...or something like that ;) )
$1500 out of pocket (includes $480 toward cap cost red + all those misc tire taxes, bank fees, etc.)
    12k miles
    3 years
$600/month (this includes a 7.75% tax for orange county).

Woohoo for all of us getting great deals!!!!
  • sam90sam90 Member Posts: 1
Just waanted to see what money factor is out there? Very close at buying MDX tech at 41K for 630/mo. over 36 months, 1st payment down only and 15k a year. Money factor at .002470.

Is there a lower factor for great credit?

    thanks
  • dogbytedogbyte Member Posts: 8
    Sam 90,

The MF you quote is correct for best credit rating. Residual on vehicle for 15k should be slightly less than 61% on 12k lease I just closed upon. Are you financing the bank fee of $595 and assorted small fees into lease payment? Good luck.
  • jgurajgura Member Posts: 16
Can someone confirm the correct residuals for the MDX Tech and other trims for a 36 month 10K mileage lease?

I thought it was 62% but one dealer said that was for Base only and Tech is only 60.

Also, when you add accessories to a car does it add to the MSRP and residual value for calculating the lease or do they factor 100% of the cost against the lease term?

    Thanks

    Hello all:

I leased a 2007 Acura MDX Tech/Ent package in July. After reading all the posts it seems I recieved a very poor deal although I shopped the entire Dallas/Ft. Worth Area.

I shopped two leasing outfits and 3 dealerships and was allowed to walk away relatively easy. My best deal and lease numbers ended with $981 dollars down, $750 per month for 36 months with 15k miles annually. While this deal beat others substantially I am very surprised to see more attractive numbers on this web-sight.

Does anyone have any thoughts (Car Man) on why Texas seems to be drawing higher lease rates?? Or did anyone in Texas get a substantially better deal than I?

    Regards,

    Danny

This is the first time I have heard of a tire tax.

    What exactly is it?
  • sigor111sigor111 Member Posts: 8
    Hi guys,

what do you think about this quote that I got today.

    36/10K lease

    2000K down

    MSRP 46610
    Net Cap Cost 43106$

    Money factor: 0.00247
    Residual: 57%

    619$ + tax = 663.10$

The quote states that Base Invoice for this car is 42897$ which is per all the numbers that I foind not an Invoice price for this car. It should be 42399$ as per cars.com.
When I asked a dealer about this difference he said that there is an advertising fee of 300$. Other costs are: 797$ DMV fees (599 doc fee, 125 Reg. fee), ACQ fee which is 595$ and who knows what else and all of that is preaty much included in 2K down as well as first month payment.

I think that even though this is not a bad deal, I think that there is more room for negotiations. What do you think guys?

I know that you can do a lot better than that. I know a lot of people in this forum that have gone to Springfield Acura (including myself) and got a better deal.

They charge only $395 for 4 years Motor Vehicle (NJ), $258 Doc fee, your 1st month payment, and a bank fee to Honda of $595...usually your inception fees will come out to be somewhere around $1900.

Read one thread by dannj, he got his Tech/Ent with $1,800 out of pocket, 42 months and 22k miles for $678 a month...and he got a roof rack with cross bars and a cargo cover thrown in. Granted this seems to good to be true, but this is what he wrote :confuse: :)

I used the same guy over at Springfield that he did, his name is Calvin Moore. I know you can see him at www.acurasearch.com

    Hope that helps.

I would like to go in Springfield Acura but the problem is that I am in South Florida and it is kind of far for me to drive.
This is actually a first time that I buy a luxury vehicle and that I see saw much junk fees on the lease invoice. Total rip off.
Acura's should go for Invoice here and that is what I expected to pay, but if you call Invoice price a number that is 500$ higher than the real Invoice than it must be something wrong. Well, I guess with the price of gas of 2.45 for the premium their sales will not go up.
It was funny, a guy calls me today to offer me a "great deal" for 649$ + tax and I was like, are you crazy? When I told him that I have an offer for 619$ plus tax his comment was, "Wow there is not much money left in that deal".
Dealers very spoiled in this area, a lot of people don't even ask for the price, just pay whatever dealres say.

Anyway, i will keep you updated. ;)

O.K. I don't have all the backround numbers on the lease - but here is what I do know.

The retail price for this vehicle is $48465
    > > Your Special Internet Sale Price is only $41965*, including
    > > destination charge, plus applicable sales tax & dmv fees.
    > > Your $ Savings = $6500

    2007 MDX Sport/Ent + Tech
Here's the best deal. Lease the 2007 MDX for 48/15K = $615/mo including tax with $0 down and total drive off fees (1st mo payment, dmv, bank fee, sales tax) = $1653

Now Edmunds.Com say's invoice is 43960 TMV(what others are paying) is 43015 minus 2500 cash back dealer incentive on 07 = 40515. So we are nearly 1500.00 off I think on car price. I want the car for NO MONEY OUT OF POCKET & payments of 599.99 per month for 48 mos.

    Hi carcrazy68,

Here is the package I got:
    -------------------------------------------------------------
    2008 Acura MDX tech package
    -------------------------------------------------------------
    MSRP: $44,410.00 ($43,695.00 + $715.00 destination)
Cap Cost: $41,300 ($1000 ABOVE invoice)
    Term: 36 months
    Mileage: 15,000 per year
    Tax: 8.25% (Los Angeles)
    Payment: $590 per month
    -------------------------------------------------------------
    -------------------------------------------------------------

    Down Payment: $4000

The dealership told me that out of pocket cost/fees is around $3400.
What should this down payment/Out of pocket cost include?

I do understand that it includes the First paymnet, Bank fee, DMV and Doc fee.

Is there ANY other fee that this should include - Registration Fees? is there such a thing as Registration Fees?

Where did you get your quote from carcrazy68?

that is a much better deal than mine if there are no other fees involved with down payment.
what do you think of this offer?
please let me know. appreciate all your help.
  • carcrazy68carcrazy68 Member Posts: 4
    mymdx1

Your numbers do not make sense. If you are coming out of pocket with $3400 you must be paying a cap reduction. Ask the salesman for an exact breakdown of the $3400. What dealership are you working with?
  • mymdx1mymdx1 Member Posts: 2
    Hi CarCrazy68,

If my out of pocket expense is $4000 and the total taxes and fees come out to be about $1600 to $1700 as everyone says here.

Then I am paying for the CAP reduction.
But they made a fool outta me cause the CAP price they gave me was STILL $1000 over the invoice price.

I have not bought the car yet, I am going there today (in 2 hours) to get the car.
I am negotiating with Cerritos Acura.

could you let me know where you got your offer from CarCrazy68.

    thank you!
  • sleepysoosleepysoo Member Posts: 54
    hey guys!

just wanted to put my two cents in. i purchased my MDX tech at Cerritos Acura back in September, and you should not be putting that much out of your pocket. mine was $1500 out of pocket, and $600/month (that's including tax), 36 months, 12k miles. wow...at $4k out of pocket, and from the numbers you're telling me, they're charging you about $2500 as a cap reduction! don't go for it! Cerritos Acura was really good to me (i've gotten 2 MDX's from them).

    hope this helps!
  • sleepysoosleepysoo Member Posts: 54
    hey Steven (carcrazy68),

sounds like a good deal!!! that's better than i got, and so far, from what i've seen, my deal was one of the better ones!! i say go for it! did cerritos acura give you that price? i got mine from cerritos acura, and they did an excellent job with giving me the numbers that i wanted! basically, my lease is exactly the same as yours, except my mileage is 12k per year...so, looks like you got the better end! congrats!!!

The mileage per year on the lease I am getting is 12,000 not 15,000. Sorry for my mistake... the paperwork was sitting right in front of me.
  • sleepysoosleepysoo Member Posts: 54
hahaha...still, from what you mentioned, it seems like a great deal!

Just to clarify - all of the info posted by manthony is correct except that I got a Tech MDX, not aTech/Ent - obvously the Tech/Ent would be more but I think I still got a very good deal...

Here's the deal I have been offered:

2008 MDX Tech Package, based on $2500 discount off of MSRP, $700.94 per month @ 18,000 miles per year/36 months, $1,187.10 at lease signing.

This looks considerably higher that what I am seeing on this board. What am I missing?

I know that Acura is offering a "special" lease deal through 1/2/08. Does anyone know what the "lease rate" (factor) is for a 36 month lease with 10,000 mi/year? I know the residual is 62%.

    Thanks.

I am interested in MDX Base and live in Westchester County. Which dealer did you lease from?
    Thanks
  • sleepysoosleepysoo Member Posts: 54
i think the number difference has to do with your miles per year. the great deal that i got and some others got was for 12k miles/year. also, you might want to ask your sales/lease guy what your money factor is. make sure they're not sticking it to you with the money factor. and, maybe it's the area you're in? there's many many acura dealerships where I am (socal), so there's a lot of competition!

    hope this helps!

    Hi All,

I live in Brooklyn, NY and I got the following deal for 2008 MDX Tech Package:

    36 month
    10K per year
    $585/month
    $1500 due at lease signing

Does that sound like a good deal or not?

I heard someone got a deal for $499/month for same car with same options... Could that be true?

    Thanks.
  • jgurajgura Member Posts: 16
    dimkaspb,

Sounds like a pretty decent deal you have received.
Please advise the full details as I am looking for something similar:

    Cap Cost
    Accessories (if any)
Detailed upfront costs ($1500 is cap cost reduction or total fees? Includes 1st Mo, Bank Feee and DMV??)

    Thanks
  • dimkaspbdimkaspb Member Posts: 3
    jgura,

    Thanks for your feedback.

$1500 was total fees. Included 1st month, bank fee.
I also leased my 2004 MDX Touring for $562/month for 42 month from this dealer and my lease will be over in 2 month. They might be giving me a discount? Although I expected a lower price to be honest.

I'll be seeing the dealer soon and will be taking a test drive as well.
    I'll post more info then.

    Thanks.

    Hi Carman,

I got a lease quote from a dealer and wanted to see whether or not the deal is great.

Here are some numbers they gave me.

Purchase price of vehicle: $36929, $300 below invoice
Trade in value of $29,500 which puts me $1500 negative equity which will get rolled into the new vehicle.

    It's 36k/yr 10 miles/year

w/ $940 down no acquisition fee the monthly will be $581
w/ $1,500 down which includes acquisition fee, the monthly will be $561

    Is this a great deal?

P.S.- I'm not sure whether or not the dealer used Acura's money factor to calculate the cost.
  • hazelwhazelw Member Posts: 1
In Dec. 06 I signed my first-ever lease agreement. I came across this website as we are now considering another vehicle and trying to decide whether to purchase or lease.

I live in Arizona. I leased a new 2007 MDX w/tech package for 42 months/ 12,000 miles per year. The agreed upon value was 44197, gross capitalized cost was 44792.

I put $7,000 down (I now know that wasn't the best choice) My monthly payment is 489.06 & 39.61 tax for a total of 528.67. The residual value is 26499.00.

My question is: Did I get a decent deal or should I steer clear of leases with this dealership.
  • garrickgarrick Member Posts: 30
Is the lease rate expected to lower in 2008 for better leasing at 12K per yr 3 yrs?
  • sleepysoosleepysoo Member Posts: 54
    hazelw...

are you sure it's just the mdx w/tech? and not an mdx w/tech & ent? well, i think your numbers are a bit on the high side...i think the dealership was not very fair to you. here's what I got my car for...granted, i am in southern california, but the number discrepancy shouldn't be that much.

I got an 08 mdx w/tech back in september, and the agreed upon value was $40,100, and the gross cap cost was $40695 (that included a $595 bank acquisition fee...or something like that). My out the door was $1500 which included $480 towards cap cost reduction (a.k.a. down payment), and my payments are $600/month (that's including a 7.75% tax). This was for a 36 month lease with 12k miles/year. It seems that most people are getting their 08 mdx's for about invoice which would be closer to $40500 ish. So, in theory, you should have been able to get an 07 for under invoice. but, maybe Arizona is different?

that being said, if you love the car, and are happy with the car, then i wouldn't give too much thought to your deal. just don't go to them next time! congrats on your car...i love mine (this is my second one..i had an 05 mdx before) and i know you'll love yours!!!

Hey Crazy or anyone else ,

I like the numbers you got. Which Dealer in Socal you went to ? Looking to lease a MDX next week and 1K down with 600 a month sounds good for 36 months, 15K.
  • znewmanznewman Member Posts: 10
Leasing an MDX with navigation in NYC area with 15k a year, true sign and drive (1st month payment only) for $621 a month. This amount is about $70 less than my long time Acura dealer quoted me, and about $30 less than a local leasing specialist quoted.

Good deal? Should I sign up?

Also, as an aside, I am way over mileage on my '04 MDX (probably more than $2,000 worth). Any suggestions on how to deal / negotiate with dealer or lessor (Honda Financial)?

    Much thanks.
  • jgurajgura Member Posts: 16
    Hi.
I am also looking at an MDX TECH lease, but with fewer miles needed (just 10K). Also in NY/NJ.

Your deal sounds decent as a true sign and drive, but can you advise the full offer details for comparison?
    Cap Cost, Accessories, MF, Residual...

Typically Inception fees are $595 Bank, $199 docs and around $260 for the DMV. Does your deal include the 3yr DMV?

Can you email me the dealer name and full details when you sign it?? jgura@verizon.net

I am looking for 36 mos 10K MDX Tech lease in NY/NJ. I was just given the following:
    $500/mo+tax
Due at signing: $3,650 (includes 1 month lease, cap reduction $1,500 and all the fees).
    How bad is it?

    Thanks,

Welcome back, koberry. Honda Finance's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a base 2008 Acura MDX with 15,000 miles per year are .00247 and 59%, respectively. The residual values for MDX models that are equipped with the Sport, Entertainment, or Tech packages are lower than this.
