That seems like a fair deal
I just did my lease as well of a base 08 MDX (added running boards as my two little ones needed to get into the car better)
10k/ 36 moths plates and first month down (total of 780 up front)
540 a month with taxes
Not as good deal as yours but thats the best I got around here
doc- 595
3 yr registration, nj gas tax, and nj tire tax (nj is the ing of taxing)- $495
doc fee- $199.99
taxes came to $1395.87 which i decided to pay upfront rather then in payment....
also added power tailgate, running boards, and rook rack......so the final monthly came to $518.00
seems to be a good deal considering everyone here seemed to pay approx. the same for ONLY a base model....
what ya'll think?
Contrary to some other comments, you did the right thing by not having a cap cost reduction. If you total the car, you'll never see your cap cost reduction money back. For the same reason, however, it's better to roll taxes into the payment instead of paying them upfront.
I actually did not use this forum for any negiogation ideas so I wioll not thank anyone like njpatherfinder for their brillance in car deals....i just called 3 dealers, asked for price, and then let the wolves eat their own....the final dealer gave me the $495.00 with Tech and I added the boards, rails, and power tailgate.....he actually sold me the boards and rails at their 36 month residual cost of $200, not dealer cost of $495, or retail cost of $795......
I guess they are trying to give these things away ....they had a parking lot full of MDX's and a trailer full that was not even unloaded....
Open Road in Wayne & Park Ave Acura couldn't believe the deal
good luck to those getting MDX's ....hope you can use this deal to lower your dealer cost
Thank you
Decided to do a lease as of 6/30 - signed an offer (with deposit) to do a single pay lease on a base with sport running boards 36/10,000 - including nyc taxes and all fees (nothing else ever on the lease - unless excessive wear and tear) = $17,127 (works out to the equivalent of about $475 per month inclusive of everything).
Shoukd I be happy with this deal?
$595- motor vechilces (which I later found out included a $500.00 down from a sneaky salesman)
$499.99 registration and a bunch of b.s new jersey taxes
$199.99 doc fee
$1300 tax
I was told nothing down...but it turns out it was $500.00 down due to 'fancy' terminology (so it would be $508 if I actually put nothing down)
THEN i added powertail, runningboards & roof rails.....just because there is a pretty good chance we may buy this at the end
SO it came to $530.00 a month
I think it is a fair deal for a MDX with Tech, powertail, boards, and rails........
I got it at Acura of Ramsey......spoke to Tommy....seemed to be a good guy dispite the sly move of calling a $500.00 down part of the motor vechile fee
black MDX with toupe interior (awesome color combo)......wife picked out the colors because it will be her car........we has two toddlers so my life will be based around car cleaning products!
Funny thing is I went in looking for an Edge, but since they were leasing at $450-498 for all the bells and whistles, I though this was a no brainer
the lot was FULL of MDX's you could probally score a better deal this week, but all in all I thought it was a pretty good deal :confuse:
The power tailgate is confusing too. I think that is standard on all the vehicles that came out after a certain date. I specifically asked for no PTG becasue I thought it would up the MSRP but it didnt. Wonder if these bloodsuckers have found a way to cheat people on that.
selling price $40,695 (incl dest.)
36 mos/10k
monthly payment $595 incl tax
$595 Acquisition
$299 doc (i've see $197 from another dealer)
$250 MV
$7.5 tire tax (NJ)
residue 54%, m.f. .0018 though my own calculation gave a slightly lower payment.
Sales guy seems unwilling to throw in free oil changes, which were offered by a few other dealerships.
How does this look? Looking to make a deal this weekend. Would appreciate any feedback.
Also wondering how much extra is reasonable for roof rails, side step, side molding, or front and rear garnish?
Thanks.
the truck s great, but i wish acura didn't cheap out on the sterringd wheel and stick shift....they should be wood standered like lexus and mercadise.....XM is also def. not as good as Sirius
if anyone has any cleaning technics for toupe interior with 2 toddlers please let me know....i can not beleive i got talked into that color combo!
what part of NJ are you from anyway
Can you please tell me what you paid out of pocket.I would love to get the tech package but was told that it would take me way over $600 per month. My wife is also insisting that I also get her a DVD player which will bump things up even more.
Thank you for your help.
2008 Base MDX with Sport Running Boards and Roof Rack
Selling Price: $36,304
+ Doc Fee $598
+Acquisition Fee $595
= Total Selling Price $37,557.00
Residual 57%
MSRP $40,955
Residual amount $23,344.35
Term 36mo 12k miles
Money Factor .00180
Base Monthly Payment $503.21 (+$30.19 tax)
Due at Signing $579.82 (first payment + registration)
After working the deal above, I spoke to the dealership this morning and they agreed to get the payments to 525.00/mo but I haven't seen the worksheet yet. Is this good? If I decide to add the tech package, how much more should it add to the payments?
08 MDX Tech and Rear DVD package. It also has all-season mats and a few other things I am forgetting.
Initial Offer received today: $682/mo which includes taxes - no money down at signing
MSRP 46,210
Invoice 42,397
Offered 39,884 (1800 off for 3K miles on it plus additional rebates)
Acq Fee $715
Doc Fee $197
Taxes 6% (claiming $2441.65 - seems slightly elevated)
Govn't Fees $281 (not sure what they are yet)
Residual Value 53%
Lease Factor .0018
36 months, 12K miles a year
Does this seem right? I feel like the monthly rate is much higher then others here on this board and this is below invoice which is why I initially looked at the car. Any advice before I go back tomorrow?
Been following the forum for a while, finally decided to sign up and post.
Does anyone know the residual values for the MDX with TECH for July? I suppose the values are different depending on the Trim Level you select.
Thanks!
2008 Base MDX w/All Weather Mats
10K Miles/36 Months
Out of Pocket - $1900 - Including Fees and First Month
Monthly Payment - $461 + Tax $28
Went shopping for a MDX yesterday in MKE and the dealer said the residual for 36 mon 15K miles is 51% and the money factor is .00245(seems high). Is this reasonable? I have seen comments on this site that people are getting invoice deals plus rebates to get the cost down to $38,000.
Thanks
What does this mean in terms of what the residual and money factor? It seems that they may have improved the .00245 money factor significantly now.
The June numbers for Tech were, I believe, 53% for 15k miles, with a MF of .0018. Rebates were 1k for lease, 2k for purchase (with some limitations on when you could/couldn't use the rebate re: Acura financing). Acura has bumped up its rebates by $500 in July but I still haven't seen any post that sets out the July residual and money factors. If your numbers are anywhere near the Acura lease offers, they've basically killed the lease market for the car this month, and I can't believe that's correct.
As for purchase, it definitely sounds like the consensus is that sales can be had at or below invoice (before taking into account rebates).
