97 Town Car - Engine will not start

I ran my 97 town car out of oil and it would not start but after adding oil to it the engine started and ran but now it wont is there a safety feature on the 4.6 liter that keeps it from starting if it runs out of oil

    No, but you might check the fuel pump inertia switch in the trunk and reset it if it has tripped.
