1992 Dakota Reverse locks up and sometimes dies

I have a 1992 dodge dakota with the 318 v8 5.2, 2 wheel drive automatic. Lately its been having a hard time to pick up speed when coming to a complete stop and the reverse feels like a rolercoaster ride(the clicking sound when its going up the starting hill )..and it starts chocking and dies..Im thinking of checking my flywheel to see if its cracked on a friends hunch... But i wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem and what resolved it. Also i wanted to know what my transmission is...it has a number top of it 067-1 if this helps..ps if anyone knows a great link for a rebuild kit for the tranny that would be greatly appreciated..

It's pretty difficult to crack a flywheel and most automatic transmissions don't even have one. So that's a wild guess IMO. You can crack a flex-plate though (attaches the torque converter to the engine). Your trans is probably an A500.
