2005 F-150 E4od slips in 1 and 2

driving on road no prioblrm stopped for burger and when truck shiffted down was like I lost 1 and 2 gears. Was able to coax home once it shiffted to 3 seemed ok, reverse is ok, o/d light on and trans fault omontor on.

    Get a scan of the PCM and let us know what codes are read. You will probably see some kind of slip code. It may be that your intermediate clutch pack is failing.

    thanks for info, scan check at parts place showed p0731 gear 1 incorrect ratio and p0732 gear 2 incorrect ratio.

    So the transmission is slipping. Next the technician has to find out why. This can be related to a valve body issue, shift solenoid issue, low transmission fluid, or defective internal clutches.

    A transmission shop should be able, in an hour or two, determine if your problem is in the valve body/electrical, or internal. They can do electrical and external pressure testing.
