I'm kind of convinced a mazda 3 is my rightful car and I've been looking at deals I can get online. I saw an option for a 2014 i-touring with 10k miles for 14,750 and a 2016 with ~29k miles for 14,250 (it's either an i-sport with 16" alloy wheels or an i-touring (it's not been fully processed in their inventory yet but it mentions the wheels and blind-spot detection, which I know don't come on stock i-sport)).
It seems really hard to get a general answer to this. I know it varies more by how they're treated, but I don't really know enough about cars to sleuth that answer so I'm kind of just throwing a net out for opinions I know can't be absolute.

Also, a very inactive car with low miles isn't necessary a good thing.
Last of all, Mazda put a number of new features on the 2016 models, like standard rear-view camera, and on the touring models, auto headlights, sunroof and auto wipers.
