Are you smelling unburned fuel or do you think you're smelling actual leaking gasoline?
If it smells like fuel, similar to when you fill up the car, that's possibly a gas leak or a problem with your EVAP filter or hoses.
If it's unburned fuel, and you are running very rich, I'm surprised you don't have a check engine light, as this condition will absolutely destroy your catalytic converter.
So we'd have to determine if you're smelling something "sooty" or an actual raw gasoline fume.
You might take a tissue and wipe the inside of your exhaust pipe--if it comes out sort of light brownish, then you probably aren't overly-rich. If it comes out like black soot, you have a problem, yes.
A rich fuel mixture has many causes and you'll need to hook up to a scan tool to go any further with this.
It's certainly a condition that needs immediate attention, whether it's a raw gas leak or incomplete combustion
