Hi!
I am in a 3 year lease BMW x5 50i that expires in 1month . I will be 10,000 miles over so will owe $1800-$2000. The new x5 50i we are looking at is 2017 MSRP $81545. Selling price will be $75784 after $2500 rebate and $3261 discount. What are your thoughts on that selling price. Has it been discounted enough?
If I decide to lease, should I be expecting to work from that sales price? What is the money factor and residual if I decide to lease? I would do a prepaid lease whereby all my payments are paid in advance to get a better money factor and price as we dont pay the sales tax as a result!
Thanks for your help

I would shoot for $1500-$2000 more discount.
    .00146 MF and 58% residual

BMW doesn't offer much of a savings for pre-paid leases, but if it saves you the tax, that might be worth it, alone. (though not sure how that works, which state?)

Okay. I'm not sure the prepaid lease was the reason you didn't pay tax. From time to time, captive manufacturers pass along their Texas sales tax credits to lessees. You should check with a dealer to see if they have that program in place, now. If so, you won't have to pre-pay to take advantage of it.
