Racing Engine 2010 SRX

Hello out there. Newly registered, first time user here. I'll be quick and simple....I have a 2010 Cadillac SRX4, and recently my wife has noticed that while driving, the engine will rev up to 4-5k rpm 's and gradually slow down like the tranny is slipping, yet the rpm's don't gm back down until she comes to a stop and puts it in park. Has anyone out there EVER heard of such a thing? Because I know I haven't!!! Thanks for any and all advice or comments.

I would hook it up to a scanner and see if there are any hints. Your description isn't very clear--are you concerned about slippage or high idle speed, or ???

Have you test driven the car yourself? What did you find?
