2002 Malibu - No crank no start, not passkey....i think

I am not getting any injector pulse. The car died while driving it. The security light came on but did the resistor trick and it went away. I then replaced the ignition with a used one and did what i believe to be the reset procedure and it still is not starting. im thinking it is not the VATS now. What else should i be looking for. This is going on 2 weeks. I can't seem to get an mobile mechanics to touch it.

    If the engine isn't cranking, how did you test for injector pulse? What trouble codes have you extracted?
