Truck cut off and won't turn over

I have a 2000 excursion and it cut off on me while I was sitting in it in park the battery terminal was loose we tighten it up the battery is strong lights work really work everything works but the truck is self will not turn over I tap on the starter still nothing Would anyone happen to know what the problem is it also has plenty of oil in it thanks for the responses in advance

Could be so many things. Are you sure there's no security light on the dash?
