Anyone else still own their 2004-2009 350Z?
Hi all,
Way, way back in April of 2006, I bought my 2005 Redline roadster, Touring edition. I still have it, still love driving it. All those years ago, there were maybe a dozen or so regular posters here who were buying the Z's, either coupe or roadsters.
Anyone else still have theirs, or am I the only long-time owner?
I took mine in a few days ago for the annual safety inspection, and turned out it needed the AC and alternator belts replaced. After that was done, the guy who did the work on it said "look at that, you have a 12 year old car and it looks brand-new. Do you want to sell it? I'd like to buy it."
Well, no, I'm not going to sell it, I don't think, but made me wonder how many other oldtimers there might be who are the original owners of this generation Z.

Anyway, yes, still enjoying the Z very much. It went through the performance tires pretty quickly. I had to replace the rear tires a couple times. I finally bought some Hancook all-weather tires a couple years ago, and like them a lot. Makes the ride a little quieter and the tires seem more long-lasting than the high-performance, summer-only tires.
Every so often I wonder if I should buy something more "grown up," like maybe an Audi 3 cabriolet, but nah...still really like the Z and I'm definitely getting my money's worth out of it, keeping it for so long. I was curious if any of the rest of the buyers of that vintage also held on to theirs for several years.
