assuming you have good credit, the money factor is WAY off.....as I said, it's .00002. Either fInd a dealer who will give you the infinti money factor.....or call the dealer and ask to speak to the general manager and ask him if he is serious about leasing a car...and if he will use infiniti's rates without marking them up by some rediculous amount.
  • btl2btl2 Member Posts: 2
Can't find a dealer who will use the ifs money factor in the n.y. area. One deal is: selling price 47,800 for tech xenon and mats. Still trying to get down below $675 per month - no cash deal and $1000.00 paid to me in a check to buy out my lease early. Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you. 15K miles per year 39 mo.

I have great credit. I spoke with the finance manager and he tells me I am using figures for the M-45 and not the M-35. He even faxed me over the financial services sheet stating that I have the wrong figures.
I do have to correct my last post though. I forgot a zero in front of the money factor. It should be .00038 but the residual is still 48%. The lease price for the car is $45,342. I am assuming that is pretty good...I hope!! If I put the $4,500 down, that includes everything and will have no other costs for the first month. The monthly payments (for 39 months) will be $515.85. I am still trying to decide on the down payment but my thought is to not put anything down like you recommended. So the decision has to be made by tomorrow....your thoughts???
  • ghstudioghstudio Member Posts: 972
Pay only the first month's payment, registration fees and any taxes required by law....put the rest in the bank. If you are in a state that allows multiple security deposits, give them 3 security deposits and lower the rate to .00008 (asssuming your numbers are correct).

  • washmanwashman Member Posts: 1
getting ready to lease m35x. got prices of $663/month 39/12 no out of pocket for an msrp of $47,500 with no nav or tech. that seemed high.

    M35 Base with Tech Package
    36 mos/12Kmi/yr

    776.80/month

    $831 due@signing

    List:$47,675
    Residual:$22,884

Feel like I can do much better on payment. Dlr offering $8000 off MSRP.
Also considering G35 as an alternative; feel I may be able to get a better deal on M. Opinions/advice welcome. :shades:

I just signed a tentative lease agreement on 9/30 with $770 due at sign and $677/mo on a M35x w Tech and Xenon - MSRP is $50,885

Carman/ghstudio - do you have the MF for October?? any changes?
  • dwongswongdwongswong Member Posts: 62
    Soplush,

Infiniti is currently offering .9% financing on 2008 M35 for 60 months and 72 months plus $1500 cash to people who finance it through Infiniti Financial. If you purchase it at invoice and use the $1500 cash for 60 months, your payment would be around $805, if your tax rate is around 9%. If you purchase it at invoice and use the $1500 cash for 72 months your payment will be around $675, if your tax rate is around 9%. Unless you have to lease for business purpose, I'd go with either payment. Also, that monthly lease payment seem kind of high, but it is the end of the year and the rates are generally bad for 2008 models towards the end of the year.

Bear in mind there is a $6,000 manufacturer to dealer incentive on the M35 at the moment. I'm not 100% certain that it is available on leases but don't be afraid to ask about it.

Hi Stu. My favorite lease payment calculator is myself. I use Excel and the formula that is outlined in the following article to calculate payments manually: Calculate Your Own Lease Payment.

Here you go dwongswong. You never mentioned how long you want to lease for or what mileage allowance you need, so for now I will assume that you're interested in a 36 month lease with 15,000 miles per year. Let me know if you want something different. Infiniti Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor for a 36 month lease of a 2008 Infiniti M35 2WD with 15,000 miles per year are .00023 and 47%, respectively. Infiniti has not published a lease program for the 2009 M35 yet.

Hi cluedweasel. I don't believe that the dealer cash that you mentioned is compatible with Infiniti's special lease program.

If it does apply to the AWD, is it a no money down offer??
Might make sense to buy since I'm in Chicago and we pay tax twice on leases....

    Thanks again....

Thanks to this forum, I know the money factors and residuals for various lease terms. The problem I'm having is with the actual sell price. I am trying to lease an M35X with Tech and Xenon lights with an MSRP of $50,885. According to both Edmunds and Cars Direct, the invoice is $46,530. The TMV prices listed are between $41,000 and $42,700. Are these realistic? The best I have received from 3 dealers is invoice. Is it possible to get $3-4K under as Edmunds and Cars Direct indicate for a lease since some of the Infiniti rebates don't apply to leases? Has anyone approached these pricing levels?

    Thanks for any responses.
  • ghstudioghstudio Member Posts: 972
Those low TMV's are for purchased cars...and there are some infiniti rebates that only apply to purchases but not to leases. Ignore those TMV's.
  • bmkjbmkj Member Posts: 23
What was the invoice? I tried building that model and figure you got $2500 under invoice. Did that include a loyalty rebate?

    Thanks for your help.
  • bmkjbmkj Member Posts: 23
So how low can I expect for a lease sell price? I've seen a few posters at $1000 under invoice and a couple more at $1600-$2500 under but don't know if that includes any loyalty rebates.

    Thanks for your help.
  • me21379me21379 Member Posts: 18
Did not include a loyalty rebate. All I can figure is that they had a lot of 08's on the lot and hear that the 09's are at the port. Who knows!

Looking to step into a new 2009 M45x (have 2006 m35x lease ending)

Offered intitially 1600 down and 778 month on 15k and 39mo lease at dealership Englewood, NJ. MSRP 61K(tech and adv teck pkg)

I have problems with the amount down.... any advice? I figure I should only be paying the first month on the new lease. The tags can be transferred?

    Thanks.
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
Here you go, bp714. Infiniti Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24 month lease of a 2008 Infiniti M35X with 15,000 miles per year are .00270 and 48%, respectively. The numbers for and otherwise identical 36 month lease are .00020 and 46%.

As you can tell, you definitely do not want to go with a 2 year lease. For some reason, Infiniti has decided to pull the plug on its lease support for that term. I suspect that it is hoping that the recession will be over 3 years from now and that vehicles' resale values will be stronger then.

Someone was asking about the TMV pricing. From the research and price I'm currently negotiating it looks like you can get below the TMV. Not many 2008's left it seems and they want them all gone as the 2009 models are hitting the lot. They won't be around much longer so now is a great time to purchase vs lease.

I'm seeing advertised 10,000 to 12,500 off msrp, and that's the advertised rate. We are currently negotiating around the $37,000.00 including TTL on a tech package. Have finance rate of 4.49 from my credit union. So with some coin down and 60 months should be able to do right at $600.00 per month.

Can someone please provide the money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2008 Infiniti M35 with 15,000 miles per year for November?
  • ghstudioghstudio Member Posts: 972
Given recent price quotes on M35's and lease quotes, I can't imagine leasing at this point...unless your company is paying for it.
  • caelcael Member Posts: 8
No, company not paying. So I should wait for an 09 lease or buy an 08 you're saying?

    Hi car_man,

Looking for the MF and residuals for 10kmiles/year for 36 months on the 2008 M35 RWD. Thanks!
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
Hi cael. Infiniti Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2008 Infiniti M35 2WD with 15,000 miles per year are .00001 (the lowest possible) and 45%. When negotiating your lease on this car, make sure to take advantage of the $1,500 bonus cash that is available on it. This cash should enable you to negotiate a capitalized cost that's below dealer invoice.

Thanks Car_man. Looking at Edmunds TMV for the M35 with tech and sport packages it shows a TMV of $45,233. I am going to try and get them to lease it at that price minus the $1500, so around $43,733. Invoice is $45,467.
  • caelcael Member Posts: 8
Also, does anyone know what kind of credit score it takes to get Infiniti's best money factor? Will a 700 credit score get it?
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
No problem, cael. Good luck in your negotiations.

is there enough in the residual between a 2008 & 2009 M35 2WD to make the 2009 actually cheaper to lease?
  • caelcael Member Posts: 8
    Jrock,

IFS money factor and residual value for a 36 month 2008 M35 2WD with 15,000 miles per year are .00001 (the lowest possible) and 45%.

I'm not exactly sure of the MF for 39 months but I believe the residual is 44% (that's what a dealer told me yesterday).

New to leases. Checking to lease M45X tech, for 39m, 10K. on business. reside in PA
Had an offer for Premium pack, 2K down, 639/m including tax. Was told "a car show" vehicle, brand new otherwise. All other offers were at least $50 more/month even for cheaper advance tech or base teck.
What should I watch for here? Is this a decent offer or I can do better?
Reading some posts people not advising lease 08 at this time, rather purchase. What are the cons/pros. I can buy on business too. Any advise be helpful.
    Thanks

    Hello All,
I was wondering if any one had the details to the December cash/finance/lease programs? I understand that the December programs were announced on 12/2.

Well, I am eyeing an 2008 M45 with the following line items:
    Base - 50250
    Tech/Nav Pkg - 3350
    Sport Pkg - 1650
    Trunk Mat - 105
    Destination - 815
    TOTAL - 56170

    M45
    MSRP > 56170
    Invoice > 51364
    C/I > -8500 (1500 as selldown, 7000 core cash for cash purchase)
    TOTAL > 42864

Now I am wondering... do I use my own cash or OPM. The cash price of 42864 would not be on the table if I were to finance or lease with IFS. Do I go to an outside bank to either lease or purchase. I really like the cash discount but I don't want to put all of my money into the car - especially since it's a depreciating asset but at what rate I am not certain.

Any insights from the sages of the board?

I would also be interested on opinions on the Infiniti recently announced lease deals for the M 35 & 45. the Edmunds site has the following listed concerning the M35. I am not sure what the $6,000 Retail Dealer cash is. Anyway here is the lease offer:

$489 Monthly Payment 39 Month Term
    $3500 Down Payment
    NA Security Deposit
    10000 Annual Mileage

Restrictions Lease is based on 2008 M35 Sedan with Technology Package (model 98118). $2000 Lease Loyalty cash available. Cannot be combined with $6000 Retail Dealer Cash. See dealer for complete details.

Comments $3989 due at signing. Dealer participation may vary. Incentives and Rebates are provided subject to the terms of our Visitor Agreement.

The M45 lease offer is as follows. Again I am not sure what the $7,000 represents:

$599 Monthly Payment 39 Month Term
    $3440 Down Payment
    NA Security Deposit
    10000 Annual Mileage

Restrictions Lease is based on 2008 M45 RWD Sedan with Technology Package (model 98318). $2000 Lease Owner Loyalty cash available. Cannot be combined with $7000 Retail Dealer Cash. Must finance through Infiniti Financial Services. See dealer for complete details.

Comments $4039 due at signing. Dealer participation may vary. Incentives and Rebates are provided subject to the terms of our Visitor Agreement.

Any insight on these offers as well as an explanation of the Retail Dealer Cash is would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Ray Catena Edison NJ . They were great to deal with. The only way to go is the lease. All new cars depreciate like CRAZY. I have been in the auto business for 28 years and would NEVER buy a new car. In NJ, stock is getting low on these cars because of the lease deal that is so good. Leave my $$ in the bank, and just drive it for 3 years and move on. They are still way out of whack on what these cars are worth at the end. Why do you think they negotiate the buyout $6000 or more? Who cares what the buyout is in 3 years...the higher the better. Lease it, drive it, and turn in it. Just oil changes and tire rotations and a new car in the next 3 years... Sign me up!!
