Hello, I need some advice as soon as possible. I will be going to dealership this evening.
I have been negotiating on frontier pro 4x. Over email, so after some back and forth they gave me out the door price including $499 doc fee. I counter offer the vehicle price and also said to lower the doc fee to $200. So I get email agreeing to my term but they took the total price off the vehicle and want to keep the doc fee at $499. So would I be wrong in thinking that's telling me there still room to negotiate? I have a trade in that I'm upside down on that I haven't even began to negotiate on yet cause I wanted a out the door price first. Now my agreement was for out the door price with right number for me to come in. I'm expecting them to low ball me on my trade and I'm willing to walk out if I don't get a certain amount. So if they don't give me the amount I want on my trade should I try to make them take it off the value of the purchase vehicle and still say I want lower doc fee?
