Honda 2013 CVT problems

Hi, I was about to buy this car, pre-owned, and certified from a dealership; however, it seems every1 is having problems with that year CVT?? I seeked the VIN numbers affected and mine was definitely there (beg. with 1 HG) and some 2014 models. This car had a great promo price and is hard to pass up. Is buying a 2013 and / or 2014 risky? Are these cars corrected with the software update that I read here?? Thank you

The dealer should be able to verify that the software updates were done; also you should drive the car on a long road test to make sure the condition mentioned in the TSB has been corrected.

What does 'certified" mean in this case? Do you get an extended warranty of some sort? Have you read it? If not, do that too.
