Can anyone tell me the January residual and money factor pn a 36 mo. 15K/yr. lease for an '08 Camry LE in 30068? Also, do you know if a sunroof is part of the cap cost for residual calculation? Lots of dealers here preorder the cars with them and know Toyota has weird ways of calculating the residual calue on a lease.

    Thanks,
    Zedd

I am seeing a lot of post about cheap! Camrys. Could someone please tell me how these $199 no money down deals are going down. Who and how can I get that. I have called some dealers in Palm Beach and they are acting like they do not know what I am talking about. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you for the stats. I called about 6 different Toyota dealers and they were not giving good rates at all. They kept pushing the national program. I will call some new dealers and get right to business. thank you.

  • vegascardudevegascardude Member Posts: 1
Lease program differs by region. Check out Buyatoyota.com for your local specials.

We got an LE w/o floor mats:

    MSRP: 21,735
    Cap Cost: 21,072 (Neg)
    Aqu Fee: $550.00 (Non-neg)
    Doc Fee: $399.00 (Non-neg)
    VTR: $299 (Non-neg)
    Residual: $12856.00 (60%)
    MF .00101 (Tier I)
    36 Months
    $0 out of pocket $262+Tax :)

First time we bought a Toyota from a dealership and it took us 3 days to get this great deal. Come to find out they have a certain limitation on how much they can discount to avoid negative front end deal. $750 rebate cannot be combine with the special lease rate.

Not what I was asking, but it looks like a nice deal. Enjoy the new car.

I can answer my own question now...

The 39 month/15K lease special on a Camry LE through Southeast Toyota Finance (FL, GA, SC, NC, AL) is .00184 MF with a 54% residual plus a $1090 residual enhancement. This is good through the end of January.

So is this a good deal for a lease? ( Ad in local newspaper)

    2008 Camry LE
Lease disclaimer $189 per month. Lease payment based on 36 payments. Sale price $19747, Cap cost $19747 and $2256 discount. Plus $575 acq fee, $975 down cash or trade + sec dep. Total due at signing $1396. Total lease charge $6804. Residual value $12856. 12,000 miles per year. MSRP $22003.

I'm not too good about figuring money factors and other things so I thought I'd post this to get some other opinions. Thank you!

    Hi,

Would anyone know the money factor and residual on a 2008 Camry LE in the NYC area?

Is the .0001 money factor applicable here? That's an amazing deal!!

    Thanks!

How much was your actual out of pocket, can't just be 0 had to have paid dmv fee, tire, license, and first month?
  • jl582jl582 Member Posts: 6
I was offered Camry Hybrid (with leather) lease.
The inception fees total to $1298.00 for first payment, bank fee, tire tax, plates and dealer doc fee. The $363.00 is tax included and allows 12,000 miles per year for 36 months.
Is this typical deal? or too high?

Just wondering how you came up with that selling price. I was told - and not that I really believe him, but just maybe - that you can't use the $1000 current rebate on the 08 Camry LE towards a lease. If you could, then I can certainly see that number working out.
I don't quite hit the Tier 1 lease rate that you quote, but I did get a .00224 (5.36) which isn't terrible and still puts my payments in the 245 range.
Just wondering if your location - wherever that may be and I'm in the dreaded SET grouping down in Fla - may have played a factor.
    Thanks for any feedback.

    Guys and Gals....

I had a great buying experience at Team Toyota of Langhorne PA.
08 LE Automatic, With Alloys, JBL Sound System w/Bluetooth, Moonroof and Preferred Accessory Package

    MSRP: 24,431
    INVOICE: 21,800
    Purchase Price: 21,500.

Dealer also agreed to a 61% residual and a money factor of .0005!!!!(Thats nothing!!!)

Rolled all the fees into the lease:
    Acq: 550
3 Years Registration: 230 (New Jersey)
Title: 40(NJ Title Fee With Up to 2 Leins on the Title)
Doc: 45(Pennsylvania Doc Fee Capped at 45)
    Tires: 5 (Pennsylvania Tire Tax)
    Tax: 641(7% of total depriciation)
Montly Payment Came out to 271.

Nothing out of my pocket. Walked away(Actually drove away) with the car for 271/month. I am going to add the side skirts and bumper lips myself and mod the exhaust to dual and this LE will look better than a Silver SE. It already sounds better due to the JBL.

    Hey Car_Man

Can you please give me the MF rates and residuals for a 2008 Camry LE with a 3yr/15k lease and a 4yr/15k lease. I'm looking in Florida.

    Thank you

Don't settle for anything over .0005 for a 15K... i know for a fact that you can get .0001 for 12K....

Does Toyota offer a "Safe Lease" program that allows you to pay a one time fee of $395 up front (insurance?) and it allows you to have $5000 in damages at the end of the lease term? I heard about this and would like to confirm. It's my understanding the $5000 in damages covered can be wear and tear or overage on the agreed miles. Any info appreciated. Thanks.

Before making those after market mods on your leased car, you'd better check it out. I believe you can not make mods to a leased car. If you do, I'm sure they will be charging you to get the car back to it's original condition, w/o mods. there might be other implications of doing this.

I totally understand the restrictions that come with a leased car, but,
I am definitely buying the car once the lease is over.... the interest rate on the lease was ridiculous, and to my advantage, the residual on the car was calculated at 61% but, not off of the MSRP, as Toyota treats options differently when it comes to depriciation... so... anyways... the residual was very low, approx. $12k. This means that I would have financed more than half of the car's cost at 1% interest rate.... so at the end of the three years, the car is only going to cost me 12K to buy... and thats the reason why I am going to buy it, and am not worried about modding it in anyway......

    Hi CarMan,

I was hoping you could tell me the money factor and residual for the NJ area. I am looking to lease a 08 camry 36 months, 12K miles a year. I have pretty good credit and should qualify for toyota's top tier credit.

For the other people who have successfully lease a camry in the NJ tristate area... What is the best deal you have gotten? What dealership is straight forward and good to deal with?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Look at message #275 that I had posted earlier... I have pasted it below.... I live in Jersey as well, but didn't mind taking a 45 min. train ride to Levittown PA, right outside of Trenton, and picked up my deal, as listed below.... PA has the same MFs as Jersey, but a smaller doc fee and tire tax... something to think about.. the doc fee alone can be a savings of approx $200......

I did the same thing with my Expedition on a 2 year lease with almost no interest on the lease. I'm financing 49% of my vehicle at almost 0% and then planning to purchase it at 51%. It ended up saving me a couple of thousand than just buying it outright at the time.

    jatmobile,

thanks for the response. Congrats to the great deal! I have a question to ask you.

I tried to enter all the info you gave into leaseguide.com's lease calculator and came out with a different monthly payment than yours. I don't know if I am putting in the right numbers.

Here is what I put in...

    MSRP: 24,431
    Base Cap cost: 21,500.
Additional fees added to lease: $880 (includes acq fee $550, $230 reg fee, title, doc, tires)
    MF - 0.0005
    Residual - 61%

    Zero down for 36months.
The monthly payment came out to be $226.34 plus tax of $15.84, which equals $242.18

I leased previously and remembered that you for the tax on the vehicle each month and not in the beginning. Let me know if I did anything wrong to arrive at this monthly payment. Also could you pass on the name of the salesperson who dealt with? Thanks again for your help.

could you provide more details on your offer, eg model trim, mrsp, sale's price, dealership name/state, etc.

That seems like a great deal. Is it thru Toyota Finance?
What state are you in ?
All of my local (Northern NJ) dealers claim that the special M/F deals ended on Feb 29th. :(
Can someone please suggest a more or less honest Toyota dealer in NY/NJ are ?
    Thank you.

I'm in the NYC area, I want the dealer to order a Manual Transmission Camry CE, will this be possible?
  • mcdawggmcdawgg Member Posts: 1,722
Yes, you can do this if the dealer does not have one or cannot locate one near by.

I have a manual CE, love it.

Ready for my fourth lease, Looking for MPG and monthly payment.
So I research here, I look for specials I decide the Camry is a great value so now I go to the dealers all4 and find one more dislikable and dishonest then the next.

Since I know about leasing and refuse to get screwed I am not getting any service whatsoever they all want you to go to the dealer and "come see me" I get every excuse in the book for them not to give a real price.

I might just pay more and buy something else less desirable or more expensive. I really believe that because they will not make as much money that they could care less.

Leasing a camry 2009 need to know if you pay the taxes in your payment as the lease calculator has it. Or do you pay a lump sum up front. What is the norm for taxes in a lease.

Also is gap insurance rolled into the lease or do you pay separate for it as a premium fee.

    Thanks

    Hi

Just got a deal today in northern NJ please help to see if it is good one.
Dealer said the .0005 is for last month. Now the MF is .019 which is almost 4 time higher.

08 Camry LE Automatic, With Alloys, JBL Sound System/MP3
    w/Bluetooth/8speaker, Moonroof/ remote engine start/
    MSRP: 24,704
    INVOICE: 21,870
    Purchase Price: 21,700.
    61% residual
    MF .0019
    Nothing out of my pocket.
    the monthly came out 335.

    Does that make sense?

    thanks for helping.
  • ihatedealersihatedealers Member Posts: 5
    Piccachu,
with the figures you provided, I calculate a monthly payment of $288.86 per mo over 24 months. I assume the .61 residual is for 24 mos.
You said you have no out of pocket so you need to add the additional costs into this payment - ie. destination, lease aquisition fee etc.
Also don't forget to add in any taxes you have to pay in NJ.

    Hope this helps.
  • jatmobilejatmobile Member Posts: 22
    ihatedealers,

just remember that Toyota doesn't apply the .61 residual to the purchase price, but rather a wierd formula, where certain options don't get considered in calculating the residual, so basically, the residual would be a lot lower, and therefore a higher montly payment.

    Hello Carman,
I am switching from a Volvo to a Camry!
I am Looking at a Hybrid or 4 cyl.XLE or SE.

I will lease for 3 years,12-15 K miles, . Any idea on current MF,or RV in my area? Southern CT/near NY. And I will buy at end of lease if #s are good.

As far as car price goes:

I looked at the Edmunds pricing . Dealer says"no way Edmunds has any info in how cars are configured in our area". In other words, the cars I have all inclue expensive options you will have to pay for.

Options I want are: Leather (LA) which requires an upgrade package (UP) and CQ (convenience package). I also want Vehicle Stability Control, std on Hybrid and option(VS) on the XLE and SE. I am getting this as a substitute for AWD,not available on a Camry and something I will miss...

Dealer (I had an appointment to test drive and review numbers:I have never driven a Camry) says all the Hybrids he gets with leather have Nav system and moonroof.(add'l $3,200), with a total MSRP over $31K. Couldn't give me any lease #.
He did not have a SE for me to see and says the XLE 2.4 he only gets with moonroof and no VSC,but he could special order. No number at all here...

    So, I left.
Now I am off to a second dealer to test drive and narrow down my choice of Camry and then back to you for advice, numbers and moral support!

    What do you think?
  • kiawahkiawah Member Posts: 3,666
    s60leaser,

You can check the inventory online here, to see if they have the exact features you are looking for...possibly an alternative...and at a minimum a good sanity check point for local prices

    OK,I am back.
Nice guy at Dealership#2,but, as they say"once you start to feel comfortable, you're in trouble"

    Camry LE,3 yr,12k/year,
    MF .00131
    RV 54%
MSRP$24,831($22,936 =car+VSC and $1895 dealer installed leather and heated seats)
    Cap Cost=$23,426
    MoPymt=320 plus tax=340.
    $1,389 fees down(1 month,550Acq,349 dealer,170 Reg)

The dealer will install the leather and heated seats(? how is this different from purchasing that as an option?)

Dealer talked me out of the XLE said it was way more a month, as was the Hybrid.

Also says deal is only through 3/31.

Seems like a high monthly payment to me...

    Thoughts?

Does anyone have info about residuals+ MF on 2009 models in NJ- I keep getting the run around from my local dealer- only has 2009, I'm interested in leasing he says he gives like 56-59% residuals- that the payments for 36 mo 12K/yr lease would run well into the mid- 500 range. Can anyone clue me into what I can really expect to pay for the car - he was talking like there was NO room to negotiate price esp because its an '09- .
I really would rather have a root canal than negotiate for a new car deal.

Anyone know whats in store for Camry deals in April? I am going with the XLE with leather, heated seats and Vehicle Stability options. The Hybrid is more $ and not sure its worth it. Looking into the COSTCO program. Anybody have ideas on what monthly payment I can expect, assuming I only put down fees and pay 2-3% over invoice?
This forum has been so great-Much rather talk with you all than a dealer.. although the COSTCO program requires a sit down with a dealer...Ay-yi-yi
