The dashboard on my 2005 Uplander is badly cracked. How can I fix it?

Most Uplanders as well as many other GM vehicles used poor hard plastic in their upper dash. They crack easily and need repair or replacement. Dashskins are not available for the Uplander. How can I repair this badly cracked surface hopefully without removing the entire dash.
