MSRP 31,435 Purchase price 29,222 Residual after 36 mos 19,804 After 39 mos 19,175 Money factor 36 mos .00210 39 months .00200 Cap cost is the same as purchase price since I did not want to put any money down at all. Tax is 9% forlease here I was given a monthly lease payment of 485 regardless of leading for 36 or 39 months Is this fair? Is it better to downgrade to the ex-l trim? Thanks so much for your help.

@chrissyoc Here is the thing. If you aren't paying anything upfront (like acquisition fee, etc), the the adjusted CAP cost will be MORE than the selling price. Because all those fees and extras have to be paid for. So, you definitely need to ask for the ADJUSTED CAP cost.

Just the first payment and non-taxable fees (title/registration, etc).

If that's the case, then the payment would be $360/mo.+tax, or about $393/mo.

So, you can see that can't be the case.

Yes.. $475/mo. with tax on the Touring
$393/mo w/tax on the EX-L

Correct.. missing acquisition fee, dealer fees, DMV fees and amount due at signing.

Those fees either have to be paid upfront, or rolled into the CAP cost and the lease payment.

The dealer is questioning how I've arrived at the numbers in the 300s you gave me myself and wants me to come in to go over it with me. Can you share how you arrived as those numbers?

You realize that doesn't match the MSRP and selling price of the numbers you gave earlier, right?

$436/mo.+tax on those numbers.

Of course, that doesn't have the acquisition fee in it, and it doesn't give the amount due at signing, either.
