Car Buying Advice - Grand Cherokee 2011-2015 - Is there a clear choice as to the most reliable year?
Hello there! I've been oogling these Jeep Grand Cherokees since the new body style came out beginning in 2011. There's a lot of bad reviews out there, however, in terms of reliability and quality. I'm looking for anyone's experience or information about what would be my best buy between the years of 2011-2015. I want the V6, not a V8, and the 5 spoke wheels, navigation, panoramic sunroof... Thanks!

Hey @cityphoto312 Thanks for reaching out to Edmunds! Great choice, I personally love those. Unfortunately you are right, the Grand Cherokee isn't exactly known for it's overwhelming reliability. According to JD Power, the 2013 model year received an overall 3 out of 5 star rating, or "Average". Out of the years 2011-2015, it was the best rating.
Of course, JD Power is just one test; Owners are the owners. I encourage you to also read our consumer reviews for each year to see people's impressions through the long run of actual ownership.
