Loaner to Lease Vehicle Requirements?

A nearby dealer has a 2017 T6 that I am interested in. It comes up as a new car or a CPO depending on where you look on their websites (it's a multi-brand dealership and the website is a little convoluted.) I asked a salesman about it and he said that it is new but was driven by "a manager". It does have a Carfax that shows one owner, and it has roughly 10k miles. When I asked if any of the leasing incentives applied, the salesman said he would have to check. He came back and said that it didn't qualify as a lease vehicle because of the mileage.

Has anyone else heard of the loaner lease vehicles having requirements like this?

Interesting side note: Tthe salesman works on the VW side and was really steering me towards the Atlas (and a trim level that was about 10-15 less than the Volvo) instead. Maybe moving an Atlas was better for him somehow?

We don't have Volvo's requirements for a loaner to qualify for new car rates. But, having a mileage cutoff is not unusual.

    Wow, y'all are fast! Thanks!
I didn't know that about mileage cutoffs. So, thank you! This will be my second lease, and I haven't really encountered a loaner lease deal yet. (Sounds like I still haven't.)

Volvo seems to have a lot of rules for loaners. It's more straightforward with BMW, Mercedes, Audi, etc.

It may be worth my while to look into the latter of those two then. The X5 is actually my favorite that I have test drove so far, but when they killed the MSD program, they knocked themselves out of the running.

$3000 incentive on all 2017 model X5s, right now.
