LUXURY cars that use regular gas?

I would like to buy a new luxury car (a sedan, not an SUV).

My strong preference is for a car which uses regular gas, as opposed to premium, gas.

I have been shopping around and seen a variety of luxury cars, Acura, Infiniti, Cadillac, and Lexus. So far, only the Lexus ES350 uses regular gas. It seems as if luxury cars (almost) all appear to use premium gas.

Can someone possibly help?

You might have found the only one.

In your search, avoid turbo engines, as those almost always use Premium.

I was coming here to recommend the ES350. Anything with a turbo (all European brands, for example) that's a luxury car will likely require premium.

I share your frustration. I'd much prefer a car that uses regular, really limits the options for nicer cars.

Thank you for your reply. Any chance that one of the Japanese brands has a luxury car that uses regular gas?

Coming in a few yrs late, but for anyone who has the same question I'll put in my two cents...Speaking on behalf of luxury cars only, I've owned a 3 series BMW, a 640 BMW, three 7 series BMW's, and a Cadillac Escalade SUV. I used regular unleaded gas in all of them except the 640 BMW. To be honest, I don't know what gas is recommended for the 640, but it's a high performance sports car so I assume that it will do better with high octane, so I've always put supreme gas in it. All the others ran excellent on regular gas - no problems, no pinging, no knocking, very few issues with any of these cars. Actually, out of all of them I've had the most expensive repairs with the 640 lol. All the others are/were gems - regular maintenance only, no major issues. The Cadillac Escalade gets the best mileage that I can get out of it, and it's over 200,000 miles with my teen driving it now. I call it "ol trusty" :) Best SUV I've ever owned - We were hit by another car going around 60mph straight into the two doors where both of my daughters were sitting - we all walked away without a scratch. Our SUV had some damage, but it was repaired. The other car was totalled (pancake) and the girl was injured (not badly). Sorry for long post, I like to share positive stories, esp about good cars I've had! Anyway, CAD Escalade is solid and takes regular gas, all 3 and 7 series BMW's awesome with regular gas! One of my worst SUVs was a Jeep Grand Cherokee - had to use supreme gas in it or it would knock, ping, ran awful!

You firstly need to look at the specs of your car, it may be new but you will still not need to use premium gas. The premium gas is almost all the time used for powerful engines, but you can still use it for regular car if you want to reduce the consume.
