Alabama New Car Purchase - No Temp Tags???? Please Help!!

I am purchasing a new vehicle in Alabama. I'm from out-of-state so I will be registering/titling it in my home state of NJ.

My dealer tells me there is no such thing as a temporary tag in Alabama, they leave the dealer plates on, and if I am pulled over I will just need to show my bill of sale and/or registration to the officer.

I am planning on traveling to Universal Studios in FL and then heading home, so I don't want to come out of Universal to a missing car or get pulled over on the highway and have my car towed!! Will I have any issues or is the dealer correct about the temp tags?
