Clean "Under" plastic cover of Nissan Altima radio

Here's an interesting one, or amusing one. My daughter was driving my Altima and somehow turned the air vent clip freshener on its side. She didn't notice and the oil seeped onto the radio underneath the plastic shield, (see pictures). I have tried so many things to clean it, spray cleaners, steamer, etc. No luck! The dealer even stated that all they could do was replace the radio. I can't remove the plastic cover to clean under it. I'm at a loss, any thoughts?

Can't really tell much from the photos but you might try buying the little tools that help extract the radio unit and see if that makes anything accessible.
