Question about Toyota RV Calculation
I am going to help my mother-in-law to lease a new Camry and I want to make sure I am doing my math correctly. Last time I helped a friend to lease a Toyota (2 years ago) I noticed that my RV calc based on Edmunds info did not match the dealer’s RV (theirs was lower). Finance manager said that in Toyota leases option packages are not depreciated based on the RV percentage but they are depreciated at 100%. At the time it didn’t make any sense but the dealer can’t play with the RV for extra profit so I didn’t argue against it and we ended up leasing a Mazda.
Do you know if they still do this 100% depreciation with the option packages in their RV math?

TFS now uses traditional methods to calculate their residuals, so it works like any other make. Of course, dealer accessories are not included.moodyhank said:Hi all,

In the past, TFS did not residualize all of the options, causing lower residual amounts and higher payments. Southeast Toyota Distributor still uses the old method.Edmunds Price Checker
