I think that would be a pretty tough swap from what I've read. You'd have both machining and electronics hurdles to overcome, and maybe even a crankshaft to flywheel issue.
I think you'd be better off upgrading and rebuilding your trans to correct some of the inherent problems. I think Transgo makes such kits.
