Left regular tail light out, again.. SRX Elegance Sport ed. V6 2005

My left regular tail light on my SRX 2005 is not working. The brake and turn-signal lights works fine.
What I have done so far:
- Replaced the whole taillight lamp with a new one (expensive, and a hassle to gain access to the bolts..). Worked fine for a few weeks, but suddenly failed again.
- Checked/changed fuse (LPark). Was fine.
- Checked power on the fuse socket (LPark). Power is fine.

Any suggestions on the next step here..?

It might be the bulbs. On BMWs, it helps to avoid bulbs that have brass bases.
