Happy holidays all! So as a new husband, I've taken up the mantle of my wife's lease in the hopes I can help her get a better deal than her previous lease! She's just about at the end of a 3 year / 45k lease (up in Feb 2018) on a Nissan Rogue S. When I asked her what her residual or MF was, she looked back at me cross eyed ... hence me coming here.

My only experience has been in purchasing cars, I've never leased before. My intention is to email several dealers looking for the best possible purchase price on a 2018 S or SV and then get into the lease details once I have a good starting price. My real question is: with regard to the residual // money factor // etc -- if I have those numbers in hand thanks to this handy forum, can I simply state them to a dealer when we get to that step? Having never done this before, I guess I'm just not sure how to **USE** the information obtained here.

thanks in advance so much for any help!

    Assuming AWD
    .00044 MF and 54%/56% residual for S/SV for 36/15.

Do your calculations before you go in.. When presented with an offer, ask for the money factor and residual, and make sure it matches up with what you know. If those numbers are off, or the payment doesn't seem to match up, given the numbers provided, start getting details. That's how you find out that you are paying $399 for VIN etching, or some other nonsense.
Or, if the residual doesn't match, that's when you find out they are actually selling you a 2017 instead of the 2018 you thought you were getting. Or, maybe it's FWD, when you thought it was AWD.
