The GPS system in my 2004 MDX says "Disk reading error'. Any suggestions?

    Given the age of the vehicle, I would suspect the GPS may have given up the ghost, and my calculation would be is it worth the cost of repair/replacement. Even if I'm planning to keep the vehicle for another couple of years, buying a Garmin, TomTom or the like would be a pretty cheap solution as well.

    Your only prayer here is if the disk itself is bad, so you might examine it and clean it--but generally this error message means the unit has failed.
