Any time you have vibrations in the drive train, you had best get on a lift before all hell breaks loose. Check mounts and universal joints all the 'way round. Also check your trans fluid level. You should be able to remove the temp. sensor from the transmission and test it with an ohm meter. If you run it under some warm water, you should see the ohms reading change, and vary, depending on what temperature the sensor is exposed to. If it responds, then probably it's a wiring or gauge problem. I suppose if you lost all your transmission fluid you wouldn't get a reading, so let's hope it's not that!
