Transmission problems...I think...

I have a well maintained, 2000 Ford Expedition XLT 5.4 Triton that is both AWD and 4 wheel drive. Without crawling under the truck and visualizing the transmission...behind a skid plate, can I assume I have a 4R100 transmission?

Did AWD/4X4's get a different transmission?

    I think it's the 4R100 if it's mated to a 5.4

It should be the 4R100. I just bought a new one from these guys https://reman-transmission.com/transmission-codes/?code=4R100 for my 2000 Ford Expedition XLT and went to the shop to get it put it. So yeah you should be right my friend :)
