NO 7500$ rebate on chevy Bolt ?
I've read in this forum that the $7500 federal tax rebate is not applied when leasing a bolt ev. I leased a 2013 S Leaf and a 2015 SV leaf and both MSRP were deducted $7500. Rules have changed since 2015?

On leases, the leasing bank gets the federal tax credit.cpg1498 said:I've read in this forum that the $7500 federal tax rebate is not applied when leasing a bolt ev. I leased a 2013 S Leaf and a 2015 SV leaf and both MSRP were deducted $7500. Rules have changed since 2015?
If you received $7500, that was in the form of a rebate from the bank. Actually, the tax credit is less than $7500 on a lease, so the bank was giving you a rebate that was bigger than the tax credit they received.
So, yes... the Bolt is eligible for a tax credit. The bank will pass along a rebate, but it's likely to be less than the tax credit they receive.
But, in Nissan's case, they passed along a big rebate, which was necessary, as the residuals were extremely low. (in the 30s%). The Bolt's residuals are in the high 50s%, so the rebate isn't necessary to get a competitive lease payment.Edmunds Price Checker
