Will the 2007 mdx navigation work in my 2009  mdx

Tricky. The two years are the same generation but on modern cars the wiring multiplexing (circuit-sharing) is pretty complex. I certainly wouldn't just plug it in and "see what happens".

Also I'm not sure why you'd want to use/re-use such an old system. Has it been recently updated? If not, it'll probably get you lost more likely than not.

You might explore aftermarket NAV systems, or just get yourself a nice Garmin. Seems like a lot less hassle to me.
