Please help with our dodge dakota jumping between gears?

Husband bought a 97 dodge dakota 4 cylinder and it bucks between gears? We changed the plugs, wires, distributor cap, and the rotter button. Still was doing it so we changed the throttle positioning sensor and found a rubber elbow that connected to the throttle body that was dry rotted so we replaced that. It stopped for a half a day then it started jumping between gears again and it idols really low. Like almost dies. If anyone know why it's doing this and how we can fix please help us??!!?

    Have you pulled any trouble codes yet?

    You might also get some carb cleaner and spray for vacuum leaks.
