Lease buyout options

Can someone fill me in on lease end buyouts? My girlfriend is looking to lease knowing she will be over in miles and buying out at lease end.. with that being said the dealer is telling me that she would need to add the mileage charge to the buyout price.. I’ve never heard of this before. I know leasing in these high mileage circumstances isn’t ideal but for her job with lots of travel it will work out best long term.

    That's not correct. If she buys out the lease, then no mileage charge (at least through Chrysler Capital. Avoid Ally Bank for leases, unless you are going to adhere to the details of the contract)
