I have an 02 Sequoia that has been bullet proof.
Toyota Fixed the Rear Differential last Month and last week the Vehicle would not shift into Drive or reverse without STALLING...
I towed it to Tire Kingdom. They could NOT rotate the rear Wheels.
I then Towed to Toyota and they diagnosed as Transmission Shot. Needs replacement. $5K......
I never had a tranny issue - EVER.
Is this Possible?
I own 5 Toyotas so I know the Vehicle and the track record-esp the Sequoia.
Are they
covering up an issue?

You need a second opinion....new differential last month and now the rear wheels are jammed?

That's just too coincidental to be overlooked as a possibility.

Geez, didn't anyone think to test this by disconnecting the driveshaft?

If not the differential, it could be the torque converter or converter clutch--that's a lot different than a whole new transmission.
