how to apply cash incentive

First, thank you Edmunds for all of your guidance and advise on leasing.
We are currently shopping dealers and have a question regarding dealer cash incentive. Current cash incentive in So Cal is $3000. Does that get applied to the price when negotiating price or do we apply the incentive after arriving at price? MSRP is $49210; dealer offering $46210 - just simply applied incentive. We already know we can do better on price. Just wondering if we should take the incentive out of the picture - would prefer to use incentive for MSDs? Thank you.

It’s the dealer’s incentive from Infiniti. So, you don’t get to apply it, anywhere. Hopefully, you negotiate a lower selling price, because of it.
