07 VW BEETLE computer/alternator????

Hi, I have an 07 Beetle, and yesterday on my way home from work, it seemed as though I ran out of power steering fluid. So, I went to fill it, but there was plenty in there-I topped it off anyway. This morning, still the same power steering issue, but then my battery light came on on the cluster, and the heat would not heat up, nor would the radio work. At lunch, I was driving to pick up my daughter from Summer school, and with all the previous issues, the entire cluster lit up, and my car started aggressively beeping. Finally, within minutes, my entire car cluster went black, and my car went dead, essentially. Do you think this could be a computer issue, or an alternator potentially??

Are you sure you don't have a broken belt? That could be very serious, especially if it's connected to the water pump, etc...
