Transmission???

Have 08 Wrangler, I put it in4 wheel drive today. Now it will not move forward or in reverse. Also 4 wheel drive gear shifter feels very loose, no tension at all. Have never had any transmission issues at all

Probably not the transmission. It sounds like the typical Wrangler bushing/linkage issue. Usually some plastic pieces break and the linkage can no longer engage the internals in the transfer case.

It's hard to say which part of the linkage broke--you'll have to dig in there or have someone investigate.

Unfotunately, the video doesn't show you how to remove the console to access the broken bushing.
