Cutting out when slowing down
Hi
I have a 2011 Focus that sporadically cuts out when slowing down at traffic lights/junction. The engine appears to sputter and will cut out. Sometimes I will be able to stop it cutting out by revving the engine, however it will keep happening (during that journey) until it has eventually cut out. It may cut out several times in a row and then not happen for several days. It doesn't matter if I am in gear or out of gear approaching a stop. So far, it hasn't happened when driving at speed. However, it is happening more frequently.
I took it to the garage where I bought the car, but they were not able to diagnose the problem. They did experience it before they serviced the car but then they were not able to recreate it. It is not a Ford garage. Nothing came up on their diagnostics. It is still happening.
Any ideas on what could be the problem?
Thanks

So does it start right back up after it stalls? What's the idle speed on the tachometer, normally?
Yes, it starts straight away. Only once did it take two attempts to start.
