Just bought 2019 Santa Fe with the 2.4 engine. Nice solid ride, love all the safety features. Only dislike is how loud the engine sounds inside the cabin when accelerating, especially when the engine is cold. Once you are at cruising speed the engine noise in the vehicle is quiet.

The 2019 XL is BS as they didn't change a thing with it like they were supposed to do. The Xl '19 is the same at the 3 row '18.

I just bought the 2019 Santa Fe Ultimate 2.0T . I really like this vehicle, I drove both the 2.4 and the 2.0 T Ultimate versions, I think the 2.0 T is the better fit for a rather large "tweener" size vehicle that is closer in size to the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Nissan Murano than say, the Nissan Rogue or Chevrolet Equinox. The turbo is really quiet and uses regular gas. The EPA ratings are lower than the 2.4 motor, but I have had no problems getting 25.9 mpg in mixed city/highway driving. I think this motor can easily exceed EPA ratings with a conservative right foot . The 2.0T is only available on the Limited and Ultimate trim levels. Nice vehicle , very quiet with all of the bells and whistles on the Ultimate level. Really good rear seat room and cargo capacity is excellent. The 2019 Santa Fe XL , by the way, is to be replaced this year by an all new 8 seater SUV, the Palisade. That is why there were no changes to the Santa Fe XL, it is being replaced !!!
