ABS holding car back

Inexpensive scanners show my ABS system is at fault. The car runs up to 50mph than acts like it hits a wall. If you let off of the throttle is resumes almost normal but feels like it is still under strain and hills are the worst.

Might be some sort of sensor problem, where the car's computer can't read road speed correctly. So I would take it in to a repair shop that can first off test the system properly and try and isolate the issue with the ABS.

Here's a simplified diagram of ABS components. Hopefully you don't have a control module problem. Those are pricey.
