Electric Vehicle Tax Credits in Leases

I’m looking to lease the 2018 Kia Niro Plug In Hybrid. I’ve read that this vehicle qualifies for an electrical vehicle federal tax credit up to $7,500. 
I’m curious, if I lease the vehicle would I still receive the tax credit or would the dealer/finance company?

    The bank gets the tax credit on a lease
