Pre-order 2019 RDX?

We test drove the new 2019 RDX over the weekend. Currently in a lease that is up in December. The sales guy said we should pre-order our car so they have it available in December. Do you feel this is necessary? I would hate to pre-order it and have to pick it up if it gets in early and have 2 payments for 2 cars? I want to essentially turn in my Pathfinder to Nissan then drive over and pick up my new RDX in the same day. thoughts?

    1) If you order it, you can specify the earliest you want it. No one can make you take it earlier.

    2) How many RDXs are in stock? Even though it might be mildly popular, it's never been a vehicle that's hard to find. And, Acuras tend to not come in a lot of different flavors, so getting your options and color shouldn't be hard. The dealer is trying to lock you into a sale.

    3) While ending a lease, and beginning a lease on the same day is a good target, make sure you are shopping early enough to find what you want, and strike a deal. You don't want to be at the mercy of the dealer. (which is why I wouldn't order "my" car)

Thank you so much for your response. I was thinking the same about the dealership trying to lock in a sale.
