Trim levels vs year

Okay, so say you have 2 trucks side by side. They are both the same price with the same amount of mileage. One is brand new, but base model. The other is 7 years old, but it's the highest trim. What's better?

    Comparing a base Sierra to a loaded Denali (for example), is like comparing a base Camaro to a Z06 Corvette.

    They can both do the same thing, but they aren't the same vehicle.

    You always get more bang for your buck with a base model, but who wants to live with manual roll-up windows?

    So, you personally would go with, say, a 2011 sierra denali over a base 2016 sierra?

    I didn't say that... ;)

    Just saying that everyone feels differently about the way vehicles are equipped. And, the price comparison you noted is not unusual. Only you can make that choice. (Or, there may be some middle ground?)
