My dealer lied to me about included features in the Car

I bought my 2018 530e from BMW of Fremont. When I was purchasing the car I repeatedly asked about Apple CarPlay as being included, he led me to believe it was. But after having the car for a week when I could not CarPlay to work I found out the vehicle did not have CarPlay installed.
I called the salesman who just hung up on me. The management of the dealership is not returning my calls.

I have heard other people have had similar issues with this dealership
Would appreciate any suggestions.

well, it is a lesson to learn about checking the dealer reviews before buying. But at this point, unless you have it in writing, you are probably out of luck unless the dealer will believe you and step up to do something about it. No clue what that is (can it be activated on your car?)

can also do the usual steps. Yelp reviews, contact BMW corporate, stuff like that.

I thought you could  download Carplay right to your car for a $300 charge.  Check with another BMW dealership or with customer relations.

It is an option from BMW. really depends if the hardware is the same in this car, so just a software update/activation issue.

Didn’t know that. Learn something new everyday.

Anyway, whenever I hear “I was lead to believe.....”, especially in the car biz, unless it was a specific statement in writing that says “this car has CarPlay”, then it doesn’t matter.

So, it’s an option. Was it listed on the MSRP sticker that the car had CarPlay installed? It should be listed on the sticker if it was installed.

As @abacomike says, if it’s a download for $xxx, maybe that’s your best bet.

On our 2017 model BMW, it was a $300 option.

If it was easily downloadable, it seems weird that they would make it a factory option. (but, I don't know)

Lacking CarPlay isn't a big deal in my opinion. When I worked at BMW most clients didn't like it once it was demonstrated; even apostles from the Church of Apple at St. Jobs weren't all that impressed.
It was a factory installed option as well, but when I ordered cars for my store I never included it- I wanted people to see if they liked how it worked before they spent $300.
