so i have a 96 4x4 5speed manual t case sanoma the 4wd dont work i tore it down to the pin on the front diff and manualy engage it but still dont get 4wd axles are good just cant get the front diff to lock in any help would be nice like i said i got it tore down to the pin where the cable goes to engage it and still dont get any progress thers no howling poping or grinding noises so its gotto be something super simple just need some new thoughts please and thank you.

Have you run this with all four wheels off of the ground to be certian that the transfer case is locking in the front driveshaft? If so, then;
See part 14? That is the shift fork that the cable pulls to engage The collar #15 to lock the stub shaft in the differential to the RH axle shaft. There could be wear on the shift fork or the collar preventing engagement, or you might have a spider and side gear failure inside the front differential.
