Help me decide on a car?

Hey guys, 18 year old kid here going to college soon. It's probably about time I upgrade from my 1995 BMW 325i to something a little practical and recent. I need some help deciding on a car and some recommendations would be great. I will not be spending over 20k. I'd prefer to get something not too heavy on mpg, because I will be taking this car to college and commuting a lot. I also love RWD coupes, so that would also be a plus. Thanks in advance.
